01What you will learn

Under NEC, the programme decides who carries the time.

The Accepted Programme is a contractual document. Compensation events are assessed against it, delay to the Completion Date is measured with it, and disputes are settled by it. Yet most planners learn delay analysis and the contract separately, if at all.

This masterclass brings them together: the contract, the Primavera P6 techniques that keep the evidence, and the time impact analysis that proves delay. You will learn from two practitioners who work with these problems every week.

Make the programme carry its own evidence: baselines, user defined fields, activity codes and advanced filters.

  • Set up, assign and update multiple baselines in Primavera P6, and know which baseline each comparison uses
  • Compare the current programme with the Accepted Programme using baseline bars and variance columns
  • Create user defined fields that record compensation event and early warning references against activities
  • Code activities by area, responsibility and event so delay can be traced, grouped and reported
  • Build advanced filters that isolate critical, near-critical and impacted work in seconds
  • Save the layouts you need for every programme submission and reuse them on the next project

Time impact analysis

Run a time impact analysis a reviewer can follow, check and accept.

  • Work through the full process: the unimpacted programme, the dividing date, fragnet design and insertion
  • Measure delay to planned Completion and carry it into a compensation event quotation
  • Build fragnets in Primavera P6 that a Project Manager can verify
  • Handle float, concurrency, mitigation and acceleration within the analysis
  • Present the result with a clear narrative, the right charts and a one-page summary
  • Anticipate the usual critiques of a time impact analysis and answer them in advance

How many seats are there?
20 in total, so everyone can ask questions and work through the exercises. The counter on this page is live: it counts paid seats and seats held by people paying right now.
Is there anything else to pay?
No. £349 is the full price.
What happens when the 20 seats are gone?
Booking closes and a waitlist opens for the next cohort, which will be priced higher. A £95 deposit holds your place in the order deposits are paid. It is deducted from the next cohort's fee, and refunded in full if no second date runs.

02Booking

My employer is paying. Can I get an invoice?
Yes. Tick "My employer is paying" when you book and add the company name, billing contact, address and any purchase order number. Payment is by card, and a paid invoice is issued automatically. If your organisation must pay by bank transfer, email partnerships@thetruetroopconsulting.com before booking.
Can I send a colleague instead, or cancel?
Yes. A colleague can take your place at no cost at any time before the first session. Cancel on or before 12/12/2026 for a full refund, or from 13/12/2026 to 28/12/2026 for half. From 29/12/2026 there is no refund. If you book as a consumer, you also have a 14-day cooling-off period. The refund policy has the details.
What if the dates change?
If we have to reschedule, you can move to the new dates or take a full refund.

Is it live, and will it be recorded?
Every session is live on Zoom. The three evening sessions are recorded for attendees. The NEC day is live only and not recorded, so please plan to attend it live.
Do I need Primavera P6?
The three evening sessions are taught in Primavera P6, so P6 basics will help you get the most from them. The NEC day needs no software.

How do I join?
Joining links and any preparation are emailed one week before the first session. You will need a computer with a reliable connection, and Primavera P6 for the evening exercises.
