Who we are

The True Troop Consulting Limited (company no. 16209809, 148 Mansell Road, Patchway, Bristol, England, BS34 5QX) is the controller of the personal data described here. Contact us about your data at partnerships@thetruetroopconsulting.com.

What we collect

When you book or join a waitlist we collect:

• your name, email address, phone number, company and job title
• billing details if your employer is paying: company, billing contact, address and purchase order number
• payment confirmation from Stripe (we never receive your card details)
• a one-way scrambled version of your IP address, used only to stop anyone reserving every seat
• messages you send us

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

• to take your booking, deliver the programme and issue certificates and invoices (contract)
• to keep financial records we are required to keep (legal obligation)
• to prevent fraud and misuse of the booking system, and to send you essential messages about your booking (legitimate interests)

Who we share it with

We share only what each organisation needs:

• GMH Planning Ltd, which delivers the NEC contracts session and receives attendee names and email addresses for joining details and certificates
• Stripe (payments), Supabase (secure database, London region), Vercel (website hosting) and Resend (email delivery)
• Zoom, to deliver the live sessions

International transfers

Some of these providers process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, transfers are protected by UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.

How long we keep it

We keep booking and financial records for six years after the end of the financial year they relate to, as HMRC requires. Waitlist details are deleted within 12 months after the next cohort is decided, unless you book.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy in a portable format. Email us and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

This booking site does not use advertising or analytics cookies. The only cookie is a strictly necessary one that keeps our own staff signed in to the admin area. Stripe sets its own cookies on its payment pages to process payments securely.
